i have imac, macmini, macbook pro , qnap nas. connected through netgear gigabit switch, imac not connect @ 1000base, 100. other stuff on network works fine.
isn't cable issue, macmini on 25m run of cable , works fine. have tried different ports on netgear switch, doesn't make difference either.
have read of others problem, there doesn't seem answer. have experience problem, copying 20+ gb of files between imac , server takes ages.
try connecting mac mini , imac each other straight cable (no router) , see sort of connection then. @ least tell if gig-e working.
know mac mini on 25m cable run, imac? have tried different cable it? or put @ end of mac mini cable?
