Macbook 2.0GHz (MA700LL/A) HDD/RAM Upgrades

hi,

have 2.0ghz macbook (ma700ll/a) 1gb ram , 80gb hdd. naturally, runs fast asthmatic snail hurtling through peanut butter , i'd upgrade.

q1. specs can upgrade 2 x 1gb ram. can go more or limited 2gb total?

q2. upper limit hdd upgrade mac? aiming 500gb , assume standard 2.5" sata should suffice? also, 7,200rpm option eke out bit more speed?

q3. superduper best way of transferring 80gb new disk. copy o/s or need re-install osx?

you can find specs on apple products, including maximum ram:

• by visiting everymac.com: actual maximum ram
• by selecting model on crucial memory advisor™ tool find ram information
• by entering serial number here find specs model.
  (be aware models can use more ram apple shows. check everymac verify actual usable ram.)

there no limit on capacity. 2.5" drive work, either hdd (any speed) or ssd.

i prefer carbon copy cloner make bootable clone of drive on new one, swap drives.
