i use 2011 13" mbp regular day day tasks, , have separate dell tower use games. mbp quite snappy i've noticed never use outside of house (or around house), rather use os @ desk. base model.
i'm beginning use ableton live, audio production program, make electronic music. mention because "pro" application using. i'm intro computer science major well, starting write code. may, in not distant future, use machine render graphics , applications write myself.
idea of having 1 tower daily tasks, gaming, , music production, if further develops.
i'm interested in mac pro upgradability. how long 2012 refresh mac pro last long upgrade every year or so? limiting factor causes mac pros become obsolete long keep upgrading parts? needs, components of tower highest priority optimized throughput?
suppose i'm asking if justified overall? , realize can answer this, i'm looking opinions nonetheless.
i'd bet on getting 4 years out of machine staying @ top of line.
past that, it'll keep running.
