i canadian , came 2 weeks trip in south west of usa. wanted buy data plan ipad 2 attempts failed.
apple store in las vegas referred me at&t store. staff @ store extremely helpful said right start hit , miss process. unfortunately in case our attempts activate account failed. tried 2 different mastercard (one in $, other in cdn) , amex cards , none of them accepted at&t system. tried cards store address, hotel address , canadian address without success.
unlucky or difficult/impossible non resident activate data plan?
bought 3g version in order of able activate when travel. quite disapointed , think twice buying 3g version when upgrade ipad 3
different result me...
based in toronto, keep handful of sim cards uk, germany , usa.
after call amex, added billing address , registered ipad on at&t. since i've had no problem @ activating , maintaining account (including deactivating it!).
can't see area you've gone wrong. can (not helpful) worked me.
