Best app for streaming photos or loading a single folder's worth?

i interested in viewing photos on ipad, keeping them located on hard drive attached pc. there app exists can stream photos? thinking average photo bit large (5mb), might better temporarily transfer folder's worth of pics pc before viewing them. can apps wirelessly?
