Airplay Mirroring on C2D Info

so have apple tv , 2008 macbook pro (2.4ghz c2d, 8600m gt, 120gb ssd, 4gb ram) , unable use airplay mirroring, im not sure if because not enabled yet, because see people using it, , saying not enabled yet, or core 2 duo isnt compatible, due apple not creating own technology airplay mirroing on macs , intead renamed intel widi http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/intel-wireless-display.html thats on intel core cpus? excited use airplay mirroring atv i5 imac being fixed. guys think?
