720p or 1080p Apple TV on a 32" 1080i HDTV?

i have 32" hdtv 2nd generation apple tv hooked it. @ screen size, think i'd notice better resolution of 3rd gen apple tv? worth buying or should stick 2nd gen?

your asking if can physically change tv's resolution.... 1080i tv. upgraded won't good. if had 1080p tv upgrade if tv on 40". 32" won't see difference @ all.
