ATV 3 worth it when my whole collection is optimized for ATV2?

so here situation folks.
have atv2, absolutely love it. tv series or movie convert via handbrake atv 2 settings , can stream whenever want tv (46" inch lg 1080p lcd, upgrading in near future). on last half year have built 2 tb movie/tv show collection encoded in 720p (some standard def well)

question guys is: worth (i'm not talking $, talking experience) upgrade? atv3 convert (or upscale, not sure term should use) 720p video?

new movies here on out transcode 1080p , might go , of favourites in 720p, don't want whole collection on again, i'm not sure should do.

 

only can answer these questions. they're eye-of-the-beholder questions.

happy 720p video (maybe cable/satt?) upscaled 1080p screen? if so, you'll happy tv 720p upscaled 1080p screen. in case there confusion on topic: upscaling not same native. in former, asking tv make best guesses invent 1 times more pixels has in 720p files; in latter, actual pixels intended in file.

on other hand, if notice difference, difference matters you. consider re-encoding 1080p. sounds big job so, thinking, consider starting videos matter , others on time.
