trouble about vpn connecting (PPTP VPN did not respond)

i new in mac. these days have searched lot on line solution problem none fixed it. so....



our lab have instruction connecting vpn under windows , succeeded vpn connection following in windows 7.

in instruction:

there host name instead of ip address in instruction , think should not problem.

, in protocol of tcp/ip property settings, user asked remove tick before “use default gateway on remote network”. besides, in instruction, sets obtain ip address , dns address automatically, not have such information server of our lab.

in new macbook pro (mac ox lion 10.7.3), did following things:

1. in system properties->network, select + button @ bottom left of screen add new connection.

2. select following:

a. interface: vpn

b. vpn type: pptp

c. service name: sas vpn

d. select create.

3. configuration: default

server address: host name “xxx.xx.xxxx.xx”

account name: (i sure there no error in this)

encryptiong: none

4. click authorization settings input password.

5. click advanced button. , select options. verify send traffic on vpn connection checked. (and not checked ) (i tried both, none of them worked). other settings.

6. on tcp/ip tab, set "configure ipv4" "using ppp." can not input dns server information.

7. click apply , try connect.​

however, returned me error said " pptp-vpn server did not respond. try reconnect. if continues....."

know there lots of threads topic. far, haven't found solution.

think there lots of experts in mac os x. can here me this? lot in advance!
