Unable to add me.com account to Thunderbird

hi everyone. i'm trying add me.com account thunderbird, followed instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1625 , doesn't work. keeps coming error saying 'configuration not verified - username or password wrong?'. i've entered details in correctly. ideas? i'm using thunderbird 10. account sets fine on mail.app.

you have set apple id. set mine yesterday fine.
