Transfer pdf files to kindle app

i have few ebooks in pdf format not purchased amazon. there way can transfer these ebooks in pdf format kindle ipad app?

 

email them , pick open in... , select kindle. or use other method (dropbox, etc) lets choose open in app. use iexplorer (mac or windows) open kindle directory under apps. i'm not sure directory , can't check right now, guess documents folder (or subdirectory in documents).
