Time it took to jailbreak iPad 2

hi all

have question answer make me decide go ipad 2 or 3.

wondering how long took before people jailbreak ipad 2 after came out.
till january ios 5 or able before that, lower ios?

reason ask simple, not enough functionality non jailbroken device.

the ipad 2 jailbroken due exploit via safari (jailbreakme). if remember correctly exploit released sometime in june or july
