got 2012 ipad at&t lte after spending year ipad2 at&t 3g.
upon signing wireless account on ipad, there option sign in existing ipad account owner. doing enabled me transfer remaining balance of 3g account lte no additional charge. have option of going 2 3 gb/month additional $5 after current cycle completed.
logging onto account data on ipad2 requires new sign in, presumably new owner can sign on , use 2 without requiring new sim card.
when first bought ipad2 year ago, swapped models 3g owner , both of required new sims our local at&t store.
we're able 2 gb lte on at&t . postpaid customer , switched 2gb plan new ipad couldn't add wit lte . created ticket office have lte added if can't add monday going exchange ipad verizon model can have hotspot access.
