having issue started today. cannot turn ringer (or other sounds effects or music matter) up. when hit volume button, "ringer icon" shows refuses increase. sound on/off button switched on (i.e. no orange showing) , seems working (as when turn off, phone vibrates). music not sound (it playing) without headphones in. sound effects not work.
if headphones in, music plays , sounds normal (through headphones)and can control headphone volume normal. sound effects work through headphones.
also, should note, when hold home button, siri sounds normal. also, when go general settings , move volume slider, ringtone sounds normal (and in fact slider can controlled via vol , down buttons; when make call , use speaker phone, works fine, external speaker working.
ideas? i've rebooted , restored settings. have not done full factory reinstall , hope avoid it.
check mute switch. maybe @ apple store. cause sounds that's problem.
