is ssd's firmware date?
have checked manufacturer's support section/forum help/advise?

got vertex 3 2009 mbp s-ata 3.0 gbps (s-ata ii) interface , negotiated link speed s-ata 1.5 gbps (s-ata i).
after bit of searching, found needed firmware update, helped.
