New Mac mini, but...

i got in new mac mini (i7) , started playing around it. massive improvement on previous machine (one of first intel macbooks) , overall pleased.


however.


both machines have 4gb of ram installed, while laptop running snow leopard, appears mini sucking shy of 2gb of memory moment boot - compared 700mb (or less) laptop sucks on boot.

also, since it's new, if drive active or cpu utilization high (possibly increased temps , fan speed) when you're not running major apps, check see if spotlight indexing looking @ menu bar icon:
