iMac doesn't recognise CDs and then spits them out...

as title suggests, 2 year old imac has decided can't detect cds (haven't tried dvds yet), literally won't recognise disk.

example, tried burn audio cd itunes, put in blank cd, drive made "chugging" kind of noise, , 10 - 20 seconds later, spat cd out. have tried 20 or 30 times on last few weeks different brands of blank cds (some labels, without), , won't recognise of them.

else had problem?

 

it's not uncommon superdrive go bad. it's covered if have applecare.
