i new on using mac osx. have following question. @ first, installed mac osx 10.6.6 on external harkdrive. found running slow. now, want put notobook ide socket. have took out harddrive usb hub , connected notebook. problem come out computer cannot load desktop , hanged in white apple logo.

need help, please let me know can make boot desktop. !!!!!
what mac have? far remember, ide (p-ata) hasn't been used on intel macs, bit confused. mean s-ata interface perhaps?
have tried of these steps?
