thinking of getting first mac. have iphone , ipad aswell macbook pro.
want create system backs literally have in safe place - either local or cloud. want main stuff on macbook pro can access ipad , iphone , edit , changes register in main place of storage , on computers.
know calenders apps , settings sync. possible documents have them update latest version devices?
also, since macbook pro wont have disk space need, want external harddrive can access devices can edit , save stuff or transfer stuff when device getting full , in addition have partition complete backup of data (maybe on weekly basis) in case accidentally delete (which according setup delete devices).
know economical , easy way have setup?

1. buy wireless router usb port can have usb port on it. think airport extreme best bet.
2. buy 2 external hard drives, 1 mac backups , 1 1 itunes media center. @ at video howto: move itunes library external drive see how set up.
3. connect 1 hard drive main mac , use backup. use other move itunes library after move usb port on extreme , share in network use. let share same itunes account when family member can use same itune library , have access on network.
4. buy itunes match. way itunes can matched , streamed ipad/iphone devices when on go.
