Can't open Photoshop Elements anymore. Help!!

i don't know if of smart people can me out.

downloaded file joining programs onto antiquated old mac discover 1 of programs downloaded has managed bugger machine right up.

weird reason turned photoshop elements icon in tool bar weird file connected 1 of these file joining pieces of software i'd downloaded, meant every time tried clicking on it wouldn't open , wouldn't recognize being photoshop @ all.

stupidly panicked , binned file joining programs had been on desktop plus corrupted adobe icon bin , flushed it, , can't start elements anymore. though can still see have adobe elements folder in applications won't open , machine doesn't seen recognize it's there.

old mac old , broken (it's still stuck on running 10.4) won't accept discs anymore can't reinstall original software. have older 15 inch mac still works , has elements installed, have no means in across other one. there anyway of re installing elements without disc, or (as i'm suspecting) original restart disc or nothing?

when double click on old adobe photoshop file start program up, can't drag new images @ all. it's machine no-longer recognising it's on there anymore.
