Wallpaper and Screen Saver problems

hello all,

have been longtime guest lurker, decided should sign since got imac. don't know if problem mine, or if problem across systems.

if need specs, let me know, otherwise don't know if needed.

having hard time wallpaper , screen savers when switch between user profiles on system. there 3 profiles on system. 1 me, 1 wife, , 1 our business. set wallpaper , screen saver on profile , fine. after done, wife changes profile or business profile , on few. doesn't touch preferences @ all. go on mine, login default galaxy. when go preferences set wallpaper, has folder selected renamed weeks ago. go reselect folder , picture want hitting + button. switch profiles again , reset. exact same thing happens screensaver.

did search problem , saw others same issue , said go /library/preferences , find com.apple.systempreferences.plist or com.apple.desktop.plist , delete them reset preferences. go location , there no file named either of there.

help? please?

granted, have grown using nothing windows systems, when changed mac system, seems user unfriendly system have ever seen. know takes getting used getting tired of taking hour 10 minute job...

if you're using lion os files looking hidden...
there several libraries in macos...
in 'users/library' hidden (so users don't muck-it-up)...
