hello all,
used 'blackbook' on tiger (10.4.11) downgrade macbook pro (late 2011) snow leopard when connected in firewire target mode, since macbook pro didn't come snow leopard installed. thought temporary after-effect, according user, although not "critical", it's slower before.
i'm still astonished mac's long useful lives, computers standards, , told that, if university sell same machine @ used price, should accept. 4gb ram, ssd , snow leopard give more useful life.
how can slowness issue solved, knowing blackbook university issue , sports custom tiger image ? snow leopard install failed boot unknown reason after resized partition using drive genius 3, , had reformat 2 days after installing it. thus, require blackbook, again. don't want waste time otherwise machine (2ghz c2d, 2gb ram).
if i'm reading right, you're using image on blackbook partition recent mbp. apple recommends users not install version of os x that's older version machine came with. see below apple kb post more info , apple kb link os version ships particular machine.
