nodeList bug???

hi. i'm new here. joined report error in safari 5.1.1 (7534.51.22). don't know report this. here goes:

when use document.getelementsbytagname returns [object nodelist]. when 'typeof' of returned nodelist returns 'function' ???? that's not right. nodelist html collection.

example:

var o = document.getelementsbytagname('div');
alert(typeof o); // returns 'function' ?!?!?!?
