Are these dead pixels or something else?

i bought used 2008 macbook , near bottom of screen, looks there's bunch of scratches initially. however, after examination, it's not on outer surface of screen. looks strange pattern of dead pixels or lint or something. ever have or see before? thanks!

have tried wiping moist microfiber cloth?
