13" MBA and video editing

i trying decide between refurb 13" mba 256ssd , refurb entry level 15" mbp. how mba handle video editing? have canon t3i use making youtube videos , 30 min short films group of friends. able mba light design, if it's going take twice long tasks have go 15" mbp

 

what editing application use?
want transcode footage proper editing codec?

while mba handle tasks, 15" mbp faster during imports , exports, when transcoding happens.
