Upgrading HD in Macbook late 2007 2.2 Core Duo Black

i've read quite few of threads in pursuit of getting answer below, appreciate confirmation of thinking.

- bigger 9.7 vs 9.5
- different amps. current hitachi 700ma, 1 1a

one thing not sure fit believe 9.5 max. other other question have ask want spend kind of money on 5 year old computer going loose support apple soon? may better off saving money , purchasing new or refurb product in few months.
