Need to make a decision: 16GB iPhone 3GS vs 32GB 4th gen Touch

i wouldn't ask this, need decide quickly, thought i'd solicit advice.

i'm on aws carrier, considering switching 1 runs on gsm later in year (and picking iphone 5). ipod classic died i've been forced use blackberry music player, it's not equipped elegance.

i'm trying decide between $200 32gb 4th gen ipod touch , $175 16gb iphone 3gs. both used, though i'm not sure how long. better deal? pros? cons?

the quick , dirty:

ipod touch: "retina" display, more ram (so running ios5 better), still have use bb phone in addition having ipod when need both.

3gs: can rid of bunk bb

honestly? i'd go 3gs. it'll used having iphone, , blow top when upgrade 5.

edit: have same 256mb ram. more reason go 3gs, imo.
