Minecraft with a URL as its IP

hey, i've been struggling month , need help.

have latest mac mini server, , trying run minecraft server. users connect 173.167.103.22 , works. i've port forwarded router , computer , everything.

now, have 1&1 host. use them buy , host cobalt-mc.com runs our forums. have subdomain, server.cobalt-mc.com want use instead of ip.

can me this? using comcast business , have tried everything. hoping there way stick 1&1 , not have buy dyndns or that.

i've heard might need dynamic dns updater.. ip using right static one.

or suggestions point me in right direction helpful

i don't understand why have subdomain.

should have needed (address) record pointing ip address. control dns @ 1&1 , comcast business?

think may still able that, may have add name like:

mc.server.cobalt-mc.com
