changing backup location for devices in iTunes?

hey there,

put nice fast ssd drive in mac pro.
problem: it's 128 gbs , i-device backups sucking huge space.

has tried changing default location of backups main macintosh hd hd?

itunes stored externally on raid, default backup main hd.

i'm on lion, latest version of both , itunes. these instructions windows based, mac terminal instructions in comments - there appears problem application support. not sure if fixed.

or maybe has written script or fix this? find annoying can change default location. don't mind backups taking space, mind ever decreasing amount of space on hd! lol
