A gutted MacBook Air Thin Client: Is it feasible?

hi.

curious if else in market this. primary computing use music production , media consumption. have imac or macpro sitting in 1 room of house doing of heavy lifting. i'm envisioning gutted macbook air, acts purely thin client on wireless-n network. in other words, have enough circuitry display thin client screen , process incoming display data remote connection imac via airplay. allow me work in other room , still around wife , kids, perhaps in living room or bed room instead of being confined studio. know ipad can not own one, don't know how works. also, having form-factor of laptop necessity. need able use mouse , keyboard , have big enough screen accommodate music production software notoriously tough use small screen real estate. realize may niche type need , not enough of incentive apple curious if else had thought of or had similar desire. feasible?

thought there limitations displaying rendered video data (movies, gaming, youtube, etc) watching ipad stream video data via airplay seem has been dealt with, @ least extent?

wouldn't terminal emulation programs you? why gut skimpy machine? i've done software updates , other stuff using screen sharing. doing want, not voiding mba warranty.
