i run linux guest virtual machine using vmware fusion on mac. ive noticed when vm network set bridged mode in vmware, network connection vm intermittently drop completely, requiring restart of vm back. battled issue quite time, not being able figure out going wrong. until today! ive traced issue spotify. virtual machines network connection drops when spotify running on host (not guest may think). if dont run spotify @ all, networking fine. whats strange problem affects virtual machines, nothing else on host affected @ all. , whats weirder affects both vmware , virtualbox, suggests spotify client doing funky network on osx. have ideas may causing within spotify or how fix it? else run spotify on mac , regularly use virtual machine software well? remember issue seems affect bridged network mode on vmware or virtualbox, nat mode works fine.
