HDD or SSD+HDD Hybrid for MacBook 5,2 ? Upgrade question.
i want upgrade hdd in macbook (early 2009; mb 5,2). have options narrowed down seagate momentus xt st750lx003 (750 gb @ 7200 rpm, 8 gb nand flash) , hitachi travelstar 0s03339 (750 gb @ 7200 rpm sata ii 16 mb internal cache).
have read lot of reviews on both , after filtering out non-credible/anomaly reviews still on fence. both seem same seagate drive seems better equipped future it's "hybridness." or falling marketing? don't taxing on machine: word processing, browsing, , programming.
wondering if out there has seen difference in battery life either of these two? or has tried each of these , seen difference? seagate worth $40?
the momentus minor speed improvement. i'm not sure if worth $40 you. doesn't sound taxing. if anything, possibly put $40 towards ram upgrade if macbook not maxxed out yet.
