thinking of buying mini macmall.
mac mini ram user upgradable? have vacant slot, can add 2gb stick if want?
macmall charging 125 dollars 2gb. should go that? or should buy ram elsewhere?
live in india, , asking friend us. couple of questions:
1. warranty on mini worldwide?
2. if buys 599 1 @ apple store, guess have pay tax on that?
3. macmall without tax right?

you bet! it's designed user upgradable! think have misconception needs correcting. both slots occupied , if upgrade @ least 8gb ram. 4gb stick not expensive. did mine in less 60 seconds! doesn't have vacant slot getting existing stick out , replacing 4gb stick easy. twist open bottom lid , have ram sticks exposed. plenty of demos on youtube if search

2. advantage of buying @ apple store in circumstances if buying under educational scheme, allows buy apple care dirt cheap. not extended warranty 3 year software support
3. don't see how right. macmall charge friend whatever tax jurisdiction he's domiciled at. if lives in nyc, pays ny tax. if lives in california pays california tax (which seemingly less nyc still not zero). imho. again not based in may want check
