Xbox 360 Controller - "no devices found"

i'm trying xbox controller (wired) work on mac , have downloaded latest drivers
( http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/projectroot/xbox360controller/osxdriver + http://xhd.sourceforge.net/ )

, restarted computer controller plugged in , not plugged in, i've started both drivers without controller plugged in , i've put controller in both usb sockets. when plug xbox controller in green x button in middle flashes second goes off. if press green x nothing happens. (i haven't tried see if controller works on xbox, definetly should other wise i've been ripped off )

also, pops when open tattiebogle driver.
