i proposed similar sort of idea on here while ago when there rumours of arm based mac.
idea, called macstack while arm processors not powerful intel processors, cheaper. lot of arm processors job.
imagine screenless ipod touch type device acts basic computer. use thunderbolt type connectors connect more of them in stack make more powerful computer.
benefit being when want upgrade computer, add rather replace.
