so got re-furbed i5 , it's pretty great. used setup assistant instructed , transferred on old imac. seemed work fine, had go in delete few things, apps, old system junk came think overall worked pretty good. went , started verify permissions disk utility , there a ton of permissions need repaired, this:
permissions differ on “system/library/coreservices/remotemanagement/ardagent.app/contents/support/remote desktop message.app/contents/resources/fi.lproj/uiagent.nib”; should -rw-r--r-- ; drw-r--r-- .
theres 1 permission says can't repaired because it's been modified. shows @ end of scan. run repair , runs through them doesn't verify they've been repaired. close du , run again, same permissions show needing repair!?!?
doing or did wrong, theres no way brand new mac (refurbed) should have permissions need repairing, , these ones don't seem repair. should do??
if repairing permissions results in error messages, of these messages can ignored , should no cause concern.
