Mixing music in garage band?

hi all

wondering if garage band can used mix 2 or 3 tracks together.

mix music dance performances, use mp3 or cd tracks within mixes... can achieved garageband also?

garageband can't edit mp3 tracks in "native" format (that is, mp3's). rather, import them , convert them on-the-fly aiff (cd) format.

mix 2 individual tracks, think you'd want this:
- create new gb project
- in project, you'll need 2 "basic" tracks, no effects
- put track 1 first gb track , track 2 second (naturally!)
- can "move" track 2 along in timeline want mix occur
- set automation (volume) fade in/out want
- when done, can "export" project aiff file, or convert mp3 (aiff better in case).
