ipod usb doesn't fit in 4s?

my car has ipod connector it's 1 of bigger ones has buttons on side. not connect 4s because of case have on it. however, smaller usb comes 4s connects with case on. there converter bigger ipod usb smaller ipod usb?

 

no there won't adapter because it's same connector. unfortunately problem lies in case. must huge though, not fit. know work through play through cases
