I played 720p and 1080p MKVs on my iPad 3

i love bluray movies, nothing else. naturally want close same experience watch. ipad 2 incapable of smoothly playing high definition videos, not mention pixel limitations. got ipad 3 today , decided put through paces following:

720p espisode of entourage @ 600mb
1080p tin tin's adventures @ 7.94gb

app used: av player hd

despite no bumped cpu clockspeed 720p file plays butter smooth , looks sublime. on ipad 2 totally unwatchable , stuttering. it's absolute dream watch file on ipad 3 , colours awesome.

nevertheless aren't talking hd if aren't talking 1080p , took deep breath before pressed play see whether 8gb tintin movie play. unfortunately didnt flow, there stutter..............but not hopelessly so. app has been updated ipad 3 if confident tintin movie should able flow. better software optimisation , possibly hardware acceleration make ipad 3 swallow mkvs throw @ it.

overall pleased @ least 720p file flows on app has not been updated new hardware yet. encouraging , awesome! important improvement having been ipad 2 owner.

thankfully ordered 32gb version serve hd addiction. :)

uh... actually, avplayerhd should able play 720p on ipad 2. have tried... many 720p clips, in fact tried whole blu-ray rip 12gb. played fine.
