How often should we trade-in a new MBA?

with core 2 duo cpu in 2010 mba 13", i'm thinking of upgrading (trade-in). when?

guys think best upgrade cycle mba? (in general, not in particular case)

unlike iphone market, mba or mac market isn't big. problem have face whether can sold when wish to.
