Syncing iwork files between computers

i picked macbook air use when i'm not @ home. there few files i'd in sync between imac , air, went apple store suggestions.

told me icloud in fact perform function, worked iwork (not office 2011). logged cloud, saw iwork tab, , decided purchase iwork app store.

well, it's not working. can't find place in numbers turn on icloud function. it's starting sync option ios only, unfortunate because don't imagine doing word processing on iphone or on ipad matter.

wondering if confirm this, or me figure out i'm doing wrong.
