New iphone programmer Qs

hi guys, first post!

i've had iphone 4 year, , wanted get
programming main restriction being that
don't own mac run apple supported dev environment

i've experimented native toolchain running on phone no success.

few questions..
minimal mac specs needed comfortably run xcode , whatever else may needed iphone programming?

compiled programs run on jailbroken iphones also?

programming possible in plain old c, rather apple's objective c?

need pay licensing if want run programs on own iphone?

i'll break down you.
need intel based mac can run osx lion quite smoothly, if want support ipad retina, otherwise, if it's your own iphone.
try find older mac mini cheap on craigslist, or whatever websites guys use (we don't use here).
make sure it's intel based processor, need xcode.
need license run apps on iphone, costs 80 euro per year, or 99$ per year, if have jailbroken phone, there ways make ipa's , install them without signing them, have never tried since have license..

can program in c, c++ or objective c, whatever fit needs, long can make compile , run there plenty tutorials on that.
