Need advice on buying an iMac

hello, new member here...

thinking of switching windows mac. looking @ buying imac simple fact all-in-one unit.

using imac creating youtube videos (using final cut x), photoshop, email , web surfing...and here's gotcha...microsoft .net development. run parallels windows7 , visual studio. other windows/visual studios, else done on mac (youtube, photoshop, email, web surfing...everyday stuff).

here's question, have found few 2009/2010 models on ebay , craigslist list within 1500 budget, , able max out ram 16gb, , install ssd drive, , assume 1gb video card should handle need do, or recommend 2gb video card?

why here, there tons out there sport i5 , i7 processors, nothing ssd drive...is possible install ssd on 2009 , 2010 models? have read, biggest pitfall fan speed going nuts on temp stats not being presented ssd s.m.a.r.t firmware, there seems settings app out there handle portion.

also, 2009/2010 model handle need do, or should continue saving while , new model? although, want move on imac, in position of needing replace current pc rig (its going on 7 years), , instead of spending 1500 on new pc hardware, rather move over. using iphone , ipad last 2 years has persuaded me make move.

again help/suggestions can give me. hope able contribute forum, instead of being 1 post guy.

you should continue saving in order buy imac specifications want. apple considers user upgradeable part ram, else complex , not designed done end user. considering budget consideration recommend shop on apple's refurbished site. in usa address be:

check often, inventory can change hour hour. may not find precisely want may able come close.
