iMac G3 127GB disk limit

i read somewhere g3 imacs have 127gb disk limit (it said disk, not volume).

g3 running jaguar , when connected firewire disk main volume (490gb) didn't show up, 2 smaller volumes, expected.

i've done clean install of tiger , not main volume mount, can browse it, open files on it, , finder reports correct size , free space.

mean 127gb limit (was) os limit replace noisy 10gb hdd 1 >127gb?

 

you can use 500gb drive. partition 4 125gb parts.
