Is this iPod touch a good deal?

friend of son wants sell him old ipod touch 2g (8gb) $10. however, glass cracked , headphone jack pretty messed up. if it, has tried these repairs? parts total $18.

id deal headphone jack difficult replace soldered on. screen easy when removing old 1 make sure pry glass, note crack more, if pry metal bend casing.
