iOS device sync issues

hi

have 2 iphones , 2 ipads synced macbook pro. these used me, wife , 2 kids. have imac @ home purchased later. mbp hdd crashed , although recover user folder using diskwarrior, cannot use user folder migration assistant using new disk , loaded os. did put files though.

issue me cannot sync devices anymore or upgrade os through computer. if connect them imac, says erase apps. not bothered music , movies because have backup, problem apps. there way out?
