Help with Facebook and Iphoto

i'm hoping 1 of smart people can novice.....
father christmas kindly left 2011 i7 imac wife , @ christmas. love apple system , kick myself not having made transition earlier!

1 issue have importing photos iphoto facebook. wife lives on facebook , issue has become single point of frustration her. have tried both safari , firefox no avail (although first attempt firefox , basic uploader in facebook worked).

have tried export iphoto , did not work either.

i'm not sure doing wrong basic , directions appreciated.

 

how did work? did manage log facebook in iphoto? can see facebook photo albums in iphoto?

did much?
