Switching from PC to iMac.... my initial thoughts!

thought post thread regarding experiences switch on pc imac... , answer anyone's questions regarding switching and/or benefits....

bought imac january year...

benefits:

1. faster pc, non of 3-4 minutes shutdown, 6.5 seconds longest shut down have had wait for! also, start times 30 seconds... used couple of minutes on pc.

2. clearer crisper screen, not these poor quality screens on many pc's these days.

3. itunes works lot better , million times faster on pc also, find wifi syncing seems miles better to.

4. integration better icloud.

5. easier , faster install/uninstall procedures.

6. better 'movie maker' imovie, , extremely music mixer garage band.

downsides

1. harder find software fit imac, although there still plenty.

2. no decent word processor pre-installed 'additional costs'

3. finder, i'm still not massive fan of yet... 1 of confusing things on imac.

still in days yet, asking should switch imac? yes!!!!

, asking should buy or wait next release? buy now, best thing ever done! also, if looking touch screens (it won't happen) , if want siri, in os update anyway, im sure current imac can handle it.

downsides:
1. maybe can help: links software recommendation threads , www.pure-mac.com or mac app store (mas)

2. while there no wordpad equivalent, textedit quite powerful itself, can open openoffice text documents, windows can't. found out yesterday. , pages costs 15 usd via mas.

3. yeah, gets time used it, maybe try different views (cmd+1, cmd+2, cmd+3, cmd+4) or have @ pathfinder or totalfinder.
