Any problems using Dell U2711 and 2011 15" Macbook Pro?

bought 2011 15" macbook pro (model mc721ll/a). macbook model introduced in spring 2011. need obtain external monitor , looking @ dell u2711.

assume work fine, did google search , saw few complaints (mostly 2010).

reason believe won't work? need use display port cable or purchase displayport<->dual link dvi cable?

either method work.

i'm using u2711 2011 13" mbp no problems whatsoever (minidp dp adapter, found on ebay 8 bucks).
