Upgrading bad hd to ssd through applecare


has done this? can this? hd crap out on 9 month macbook pro, i'd pay sort of upgrade price ssd replacement drive.
 

applecare doesn't cover upgrades. covers repair or replacement of manufacturer defects identical or similar equipment. can buy ssd, applecare has nothing that.
